A workspace holds projects, people, a plan and credits. Every account has a Personal workspace, meant for you alone. To work with other people every day, create a team workspace and invite them as members with the role **Viewer**, **Editor** or **Admin**.

## Personal and team workspaces

Your Personal workspace is created with your account and is meant for you alone. The app says: "Your Personal workspace is just for you. People you invite join one of your workspaces - to collaborate on a single project, share that project instead." See [Share a project](/docs/build/share-a-project).

A team workspace has its own projects, people, plan and credits. To create one, open the workspace menu (the workspace name at the top of the left panel), choose **Create workspace**, type a **Workspace name** and choose **Create workspace**. The same menu switches between your workspaces; the left panel shows the projects of the one you are in.

A project created in a team workspace is open to every member: its **Share** tab shows **Everyone at** and the workspace name, set to **Can edit**. Change that row to **Can view**, or to **No access** to make the project invited-only.

## Member roles

| | Viewer | Editor | Admin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open the workspace's shared projects | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Edit those projects and send messages to the agent there | No | Yes | Yes |
| Create projects in the workspace | No | Yes | Yes |
| Invite and remove members, change roles | No | No | Yes |
| Create and manage teams | No | No | Yes |
| Manage the plan, the billing and the credits | No | No | Yes |
| Rename or delete the workspace | No | No | Yes |
| Archive or delete a member's project | No | No | Yes |

A workspace can have several Admins, and it always keeps at least one.

## How access adds up

A person can reach a project in several ways: as a workspace member, through a team, by a direct invitation, or by the public link. The strongest one counts. If **Everyone at** says **Can view** but a person was invited as an Editor, that person can edit.

The **Everyone at** row caps what members get from the workspace: on a project set to **Can view**, workspace Editors can only view it. A project set to **No access** is hidden from all members, Admins included, except its creator and the people and teams in its **Share** tab.

## Invite members

1. In the team workspace, open the workspace menu and choose **Invite**, or open **Settings**, **People & teams**.
2. Under **Invite a teammate**, type the email address, choose the role and choose **Invite**.
3. The person gets an email with a link. The page it opens says "Join" and the workspace name; they choose **Join workspace**, after signing in or creating an account.

An invitation lasts 7 days. The **Invitations** tab shows when each one expires, with **Copy invite link**, **Resend** ("Send a fresh invitation link (the previous link stops working).") and **Revoke**.

A workspace holds up to 25 members on every plan. People with workspace access, directly or through a team, count toward that number, and so do pending invitations. People you invite to a single project do not count.

> [!NOTE]
> **Settings**, **People & teams** still shows **Invite a teammate** in a Personal workspace. People you invite there join it, but they see none of your projects, because projects in a Personal workspace are not shared with its members.

## Teams

A team grants access to a group in one step. Admins manage teams in **Settings**, **People & teams**, on the **Teams** tab, in team workspaces:

- **Create a team** with a **Team name**, then add workspace members with **Add a member…**.
- **Workspace access** gives the whole team a role in the workspace: **No access**, **Viewer**, **Editor** or **Admin**.
- To share one project with a team, use **Add a team…** in that project's **Share** tab.

People added to a team later get its access too. Deleting a team: "Members lose the access this team granted them. Projects shared with the team stay where they are." Teams cannot contain other teams.

## Who pays

The workspace pays for the work in its projects, whoever does it: the agent's work, voice input and the Cloud apps are paid from the workspace's plan and balance. A member whose own account is on the Free plan gets the workspace's paid features while working in its projects. Members who are not Admins see only who pays: "All AI usage in this workspace is billed to" and the owner's name. See [Plans and credits on one page](/docs/start/plans-and-credits).

## Leave or delete a workspace

In **Settings**, **General**, a member of a team workspace can choose **Leave workspace**: "You'll lose access to this workspace and its projects." An Admin can choose **Delete workspace** and type the workspace's name to confirm. The app says: "Deleting this workspace removes access for every member. Projects are not deleted."
