# Get help from a person

> Write to the Playcode team from the support page or the chat in the app - what to send, where the message goes, and what a person can do.

A person can look into a technical problem with you. Write to the Playcode team from the support page at [playcode.io/help](/help), or from the chat inside the app.

## Do it yourself

1. Open [playcode.io/help](/help). You do not need to be signed in.
2. Under "Tell us what happened.", fill in **Project** (its name or address), **What were you trying to do?** and **What happened?**. Paste the exact error text under **Screenshot or error message** if you have one.
3. Choose **Send to support**. The page does not send anything by itself. It opens the chat with your message in its box and says "Your message is ready in the chat. Send it there to reach us."
4. Send the message in the chat.

In the app, you can open the same chat directly: open the menu under your workspace's name at the top of the left panel, choose **Help**, then **Online Chat**. **Report a Bug** in the same menu opens the chat with "I found a bug: " ready to finish.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Keep passwords, API keys and private customer information out of your message.

## If it doesn't work

### "The chat did not open"

The page then says "The chat did not open. Email your message to support@playcode.io instead." A browser extension that blocks ads can block the chat. Choose the address in that line: it opens an email with your message already in it.

### Your email app did not open

When the chat is off, the page prepares an email instead: "Your email app should open with your message ready to send. If it does not, email support@playcode.io." Write to support@playcode.io from any email account, and put the project's name in the subject.

### You cannot sign in

The support page and its chat work without an account. Use [playcode.io/help](/help), and say which email address you sign in with. See also [I cannot sign in](/docs/help/cannot-sign-in).

## Limits

- Help means a person investigates the problem with you. No response time and no fix are promised, and a person does not build your project for you.
- The agent in your project does not open a support conversation for you. Write to the team yourself.
- The Terms of Service say AI credits and credit top-ups are final and non-refundable, including unused credits.
- If you believe a charge is wrong, the Terms ask you to write to ruslan@playcode.io before you dispute it with your bank.
- To report a site that breaks the rules, see [Report abuse](/docs/help/report-abuse).
