Plans and credits on one page

A plan decides what a workspace can do, and it adds credits every month. Credits pay for the agent's work and for running Cloud apps. Domains are charged to the workspace's card instead.

What credits pay for

#
Use When it costs credits Where you see it
The agent's work Every step it takes. Ultra costs the most, and longer chats cost more per message Settings, Usage
Images, video, music and voice Each one the agent generates Settings, Usage
A Cloud app's computers The hours they are awake, the disk they store, and traffic past the included amount Settings, Computer
AI inside your app Each request your app sends through Playcode AI Gateway Settings, Usage
Email from your app Recipients past the included amount Settings, Usage

Plans price credits at 4 credits per dollar, and the larger top-ups add bonus credits. When the workspace runs out, the agent stops with "You're out of credits. Add more to keep building." The Cloud computers stop 72 hours after the balance reaches zero, and Playcode emails the owner first. See Credits and balance.

How long credits last

#
Credits They last
This month's plan credits Until the next renewal. Unused ones then carry over
Carried-over plan credits One more month on a monthly plan; until the subscription ends on a yearly plan
Bought credits (top-ups) 12 months from your latest purchase. Each purchase extends all of them

Playcode spends the credits that expire soonest first. A yearly plan adds its credits month by month, not all at once. When a plan ends, its credits are not removed: they still expire on their own dates.

Buying more credits

#

On Pro or Max, a workspace owner or admin can buy credits at any time: $25 for 100 credits; $50 for 210 credits (10 of them a bonus); $100 for 440 credits (40 of them a bonus); $200 for 960 credits (160 of them a bonus). Auto-recharge can buy them for you when the balance runs low. On the Free plan, the app offers Upgrade instead. See Top-ups and auto-recharge.

When a plan changes

#
  • Upgrade: the workspace gets the difference in credits at once.
  • Downgrade: no credits are removed. The next renewal adds the smaller amount. See What a downgrade changes.
  • Cancel: paid features end when the plan ends. Static sites stay online with the banner; Cloud apps stop, and their code, files and data are kept. See When a subscription ends.
