When a subscription ends

When a Pro or Max plan ends, its paid features end with it, and what you built stays in your account. Static sites stay online with a Playcode banner; Cloud apps are stopped, with their code, files and data kept.

When the plan ends

#

If you cancel at the end of the billing period, the plan stays active until its end date. If you cancel immediately, paid access ends at once and the rest of the period is not refunded. See Change or cancel your plan.

Static sites

#
  • They stay published at their Playcode address, and they show a "Built with Playcode" banner.
  • A name you chose for the address stays. Changing it again needs a plan.
  • Playcode does not disconnect their domains. The banner shows on a domain too. Connecting a new domain needs a plan.

Cloud apps

#
  • The workspace's plan no longer includes Cloud apps, so Playcode stops their computers, development and production. The stop comes some time after the plan ends, and there is no advance email for it.
  • A stopped app does not answer at its address, and its preview does not start. Its disk stays, with the code, database and files.
  • Subscribing again does not start the computers by itself. Ask a person to start them.
  • Until the stop, a running app keeps using credits for its awake hours and its disk. If the balance reaches zero first, the computers stop after the grace period in Bandwidth and limits.
  • Playcode does not disconnect their domains, but a stopped app does not answer on them.

Domains you bought

#
  • They stay yours. While Auto-renew is on, each renewal is still charged to the workspace's card before the expiry date.
  • To let a domain expire, turn off Auto-renew on its page in Settings, Domains. See Domain renewals and fees.
  • Pointing a domain at a site needs a Pro or Max plan.

Credits

#

Credits are not removed when the plan ends: each kind keeps its own expiry date, and a balance stays until you use it. See Credits and balance and What a downgrade changes.
