Code you paste into the chat keeps its indentation

Code you paste into the chat, or into the box on Home, now arrives exactly as you copied it.

  • Indentation and blank lines stay. Before, a paste lost the spaces at the start of every line and its empty lines, so pasted Python or YAML could break before the agent even read it.
  • In the chat, a very long paste becomes a card named for what it is: paste.html for a page, paste.jsx for a React component, paste.txt for text.
  • Signing in keeps your whole chat draft. If you sign in with GitHub or Microsoft before you send, your words, your pasted cards and your attached files are back in the chat when you return.
