Playcode Classic

This HTML code runner turns your code into a web page in your browser, on a phone or a computer. Paste your HTML, CSS and JavaScript and the page appears, changing as you type. No app to install. Sign in to save it and share a link. It’s part of Playcode Classic, Playcode’s free code tools.

Free. No account needed to start.

On a level playground seesaw a student with his phone balances an old desktop computer showing the same little web page, and Play stands on the pivot with his arms out like a pair of scales.

How to run HTML code on your phone

  1. Open this page in your phone’s browser and tap Run your HTML.
  2. Open index.html from the files and paste your code.
  3. Switch to the page to see it. Change a line and it changes.

On a phone the editor shows one panel at a time - the AI chat, your code, the page or the console - and opens on the chat.

Three phones stand on a playground bench: code, the same code with a row of tabs, and the finished page, and Play leans on the last one.

Paste it. See the page.

Got HTML from a lesson, a book or an AI chat? Paste it into index.html and the page appears: beside your code on a computer, one tap away on a phone. Change a line and the page changes with it.

Play pastes a huge sheet onto a brick wall and it turns into a web page as it goes up, a bird flying out of its picture, while the student laughs over his phone on a bench.

Playcode today is an AI platform for building and running websites and apps.

Play stands at the open gate of an old playground and presents what lies beyond it: a rocket ready on its launch pad.
