Playcode AI

Your new assistant brought its own computer.

Playcode AI builds your website or app, researches what you need to know and makes the deck, the video or the plan. It does the work on a computer of its own in our cloud. Ask from your laptop or your phone.

Its own computer comes with Cloud apps on Pro and Max. Create an account without a credit card.

A woman relaxes in an armchair with a coffee and gives a task over the phone, while in the next room Play, in a headset, is already at work at his own computer: four screens, a control panel, a toolbox and a key cabinet, with the rocket outside his window.

It hands you the work, not instructions.

In a Cloud app, Playcode AI works on a real computer in our cloud, with a terminal, a browser and your app’s database. It writes the code, installs what the job needs and runs it. Then it opens the result in a real browser, tries it and looks at the screenshots. When something is off, it fixes it and checks again.

When it’s done, you have a page that works, a file you can open or a fix that’s already in place.

Commands, tests and browser checks run in Cloud apps.

Play hands the woman a finished table lamp and it lights up as she switches it on, while a man in a suit sits on the floor among the boards of a flat-pack cabinet, puzzling over a hex key.

Give it the jobs on your list.

  • “Build a booking page for my studio.”

It builds the page and the database behind it, then tries a booking itself.

  • “Turn our website into an app for iPhone and Android.”

It builds the app from the same project, and you try it on your phone with a QR code.

  • “Make a ten-slide deck for Thursday’s investor call.”

A deck to share as a link, or a PowerPoint file to send.

  • “Make a 20-second video for the launch.”

A short clip with sound, placed on your page.

  • “What do our three main competitors charge? Show sources.”

It searches the web, reads their pages and gives you a table with links.

  • “Help me decide what to build first.”

It asks about your customers, weighs the options and writes a plan you can argue with.

Video needs Pro or Max. The booking page, the phone app and the PowerPoint file are built in Cloud apps. All work uses credits.

On a terrace by the launch site, the woman ticks off a checklist on her tablet while Play, dressed as a waiter, serves the finished jobs on trays: a phone with an app, a clapperboard and a chart on an easel.

It doesn’t keep office hours.

YouHouston, we have a problem.

Playcode AICopy. Let’s find out.

Write to it from your laptop, or from your phone’s browser, whenever something comes up. If your live app misbehaves, it reads the logs, finds the cause and tells you what it found. It asks before it changes anything live.

Once a task has started, you can close your laptop. Playcode AI keeps working on our servers. Check in later from your phone.

Not every problem is technical. An angry email from a customer, a launch that slipped, a decision you keep putting off: talk those through with it, too.

The woman lies on a sun lounger in a sunhat, phone to her ear, on holiday, while a few steps away Play, in a headset, answers her cheerfully from a small control cabin with the rocket on his screen.

It does the work. You make the calls.

  • It asks when a choice is yours. Send a note while it works, and it takes it into the task.
  • It keeps a written record of what it built and what you decided, so the next conversation starts where this one stopped.
  • If a change goes wrong in a Cloud app, return to a saved point. Code, files and the database go back together.

Changes made after that point are not part of the restored version.

The woman sits in a director’s chair and points at one of two finished website designs on easels, while Play presents both with open hands.

Choose the AI it thinks with.

Playcode AI works with models from 4 AI labs, from Claude and GPT to Gemini and Grok. Pick a level for each chat: Economy for quick, low-cost work, Standard for most jobs, Ultra for the hardest problems. Larger models use more credits for the same work.

It reaches them all through an AI gateway we built ourselves. You don’t need an account or a key with any of these labs: your Playcode credits pay for all of them.

  • The MacBook as Claude Opus 5.5 drew it.

    StandardClaude Opus 5.5

  • The MacBook as Claude Fable 5 drew it.

    UltraClaude Fable 5

One MacBook, drawn by each level’s default model.

New models join once we’ve tested them on the real agent. Claude Opus 5.5 and Gemini 4 Argon each reached Playcode the day after their release.

We publish our model tests, failures included: 31 models draw the same MacBook.

Free includes Economy. Standard and Ultra need Pro or Max.

Inside Playcode AI.

For the curious: what it’s made of.

The agent
Built by Playcode: how it plans, the tools it uses, how it checks its work. The models are licensed from AI labs.
Models
11 from 4 AI labs: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and xAI.
Levels
Economy, Standard and Ultra.
Model access
Playcode AI Gateway, built by Playcode.
Its computer
In Cloud apps, a cloud computer for each project, with a terminal, a browser and your app’s database.
Helpers
Helper agents that explore, code, research and review, several at a time.
Checks
In Cloud apps, tests it writes and runs, and a real browser with screenshots.
Memory
A written project record it reads on every task. You can read and edit it too.
Skills
15 built in, from decks, video and mobile apps to email and payments. Add your own.
Reads
PDFs, spreadsheets, Word files, screenshots and sketches.
Makes
Websites, web apps, mobile apps and decks. On Pro and Max, also images, video clips, music and narration.
Where
In a browser on your computer or phone. Dictate instead of typing.
For developers
The Playcode CLI, MCP servers for tools like Claude Code and Cursor, and an API. Through them, other agents can hand Playcode AI a task.
Cost
Credits for the work done. Larger models cost more for the same work.

As of October 2026. Models and limits change; the docs list the current ones.

You’re not alone with the AI.

When Playcode AI can’t solve a technical problem, a person on our team looks into it with you.

“I’m glad you built it. I’ve been waiting 20 years.”

Daniel, building Axe USA

What can’t it do?

Make coffee, for one. We asked.

It also doesn’t start work on a schedule by itself: it works when you, your team or your tools ask. It makes mistakes, so review what it builds before you publish. And it can’t promise rankings, customers or app-store approval.

Play stands at a small help desk with a stack of blank cards, holding an empty cup and looking puzzled at a coffee machine.
  • Is Playcode AI just ChatGPT inside?

It thinks with models licensed from AI labs, the same families behind ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The rest is ours: the agent that plans and uses the tools, the computer it works on, the project record and the gateway it reaches the models through.

  • Do I need to know how to code?

No. Say what you need and review what it makes. If you do code, open the files and change them yourself, or work from your own tools.

  • What does it cost?

Work uses credits from your workspace balance. Larger models cost more for the same task. Free includes the Economy level, and eligible accounts get trial credits. Cloud apps, Standard, Ultra and media need Pro or Max. See plans and prices.

  • Can I use it from my phone?

Yes. Open Playcode in your phone’s browser, sign in and continue the same project and conversation.

  • Is the code mine?

Yes. You own your code. Export the whole project, tests included, and run it on any VPS. Downloading a static site’s code needs Pro or Max.

  • Can my developer or my own AI work with it?

Yes. The Playcode CLI and MCP servers connect tools like Claude Code and Cursor to your project. Through them, another agent can hand Playcode AI a task. Read the docs for agents.

What’s first on your list?

Something small is fine: a page, a deck, a question.

A rocket waits with its door open and an empty seat, and Play invites you in. High above, another rocket climbs away.
