As of December 2025, PlayCode removed all code limits. You can code as much as you want in the playground for free - no restrictions, no timers, no paywalls.

Free Plan

The free plan includes:

• Unlimited coding - Code as much as you want in the playground
• Save up to 3 projects - Keep your work saved and accessible
• All templates - Access to every template in the library
• Public projects - Share your projects with anyone
• Random subdomains - Publish with a random subdomain (e.g., 1234567.playcode.ai)
• 4MB storage - Space for assets and files
• 1 collaborator - Work with one other person in real-time
• No project downloads - Cannot export projects as ZIP

Pro Plan ($9.99/month or $99/year)

Pro includes everything in Free plus:

• Unlimited saved projects - Save as many projects as you need
• Private projects - Keep your code private
• Custom subdomains - Choose your own subdomain (e.g., my-app.playcode.ai)
• Unlimited collaborators - Work with your entire team simultaneously
• Export projects as ZIP - Download source code and production build
• 1GB storage - 250x more space for assets
• All courses unlocked - Access to every interactive lesson
• No splash screen - Published sites load directly without intro

How to Upgrade

Click the "Upgrade" button in the top-right corner or when you hit a feature limit:

1. Click "Upgrade"
2. Choose monthly or yearly billing
3. Enter payment information
4. Start using Pro features immediately

We use Stripe for secure payment processing. All major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank accounts are accepted.

Grandfathering Policy

If you already have more than 3 projects saved, you'll keep them all! Our grandfathering policy means existing users don't lose their work. You just can't save new projects until you upgrade or delete some existing ones.

Managing Your Subscription

After upgrading, you can:

• Cancel anytime (no contracts)
• Switch between monthly and yearly billing
• Update payment methods
• Download invoices
• Add tax IDs

All subscription management is available in Settings → Subscription.

Common Questions

Can I try Pro before paying?

We don't offer free trials, but our free plan is generous enough to fully evaluate PlayCode. Once you need Pro features (like more than 3 projects), upgrade takes just a minute.

What happens if I cancel?

Your subscription continues until the end of your billing period. After that, you'll be on the free plan. See What Happens When You Downgrade for details.

Can I get a refund?

We process refunds on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of purchase to discuss your situation.

Do you offer student or nonprofit discounts?

Not currently, but our free plan is designed to be useful for students and learning. If you need Pro features for educational purposes, contact us to discuss options.
