Should the site save a lesson request or use a scheduling provider?
- A custom pending request reviewed and matched by tutoring staff
- A verified scheduling provider with authoritative tutor availability and payment steps
Choose: Use the system that already owns tutor availability. Start with a pending request when staff evaluates subject fit, learner level, guardian context, or tutor match; use a provider when its tutor mappings, availability, account, plan, credentials, policies, and failure behavior have been reproduced.
Tradeoff: A custom request minimizes public data and supports careful matching but needs staff follow-up. A provider may reserve and charge directly while adding fees, data terms, credentials, time-zone rules, cancellation policy, event ordering, outages, and reconciliation responsibility.
